From idea to playable build

We use a short sequence of decisions so the project stays testable and understandable.

Discuss a project

1. Define the player and the test

We discuss the experience, target devices, budget range and what you need to learn. We name the one thing the first build must prove.

2. Map the smallest complete slice

We specify the interaction, content, controls, assets, milestones and review points. You can see what is included and what belongs in a later phase.

3. Build and play

We create a working version and review it with actual play rather than screenshots alone. We record confusing moments, technical defects and changes with the greatest value.

4. Decide the next release

You receive the agreed build and handover details. Together we decide whether to refine, expand, publish or stop with what the prototype taught us.

Start with a specific problem.

Describe the idea and the question you want a prototype to answer.
